Project Havenbridge wasn't conceived in a boardroom. It was born from a place of raw, lived desperation—on the courthouse steps, in the driver's seat of a car that had become a bedroom, and in the painful silence that follows when you are told you are "unapprovable." Our founder knows this reality firsthand. In the span of three years, uncontrollable job loss led to three evictions—including the simultaneous loss of both an office and an apartment. We learned a fundamental truth: The current housing system is designed for judgment, not for healing. It perpetuates systematic oppression instead of fostering humanitarian partnership. We are the solution we needed but never found.
